The www.tourismegps.be site... everyone speaks about it!
Its walks to download on GPS, its many visual and audio functions, the simplicity of its tools and its innumerable facets have reached the unanimity since its launching in December 2007 by the Federation for Tourism in the Province of Namur.
This site does not stop being in the headlines in tourism, it has evolved a lot, it has been updated and it has got a lot of requests for collaboration.
Today, in November 2009, new projects put the spotlight on www.tourismegps.be with more than 100 circuits through all Wallonia and even the bordering countries.
Practically, the new version of the site allows to highlight the provincial but also inter-provincial and international circuits (bordering countries) and to integrate in the reflection all the sites of the Provincial Tourist Federations.
Other projects are under way, for example as part of the program INTERRREG IV France-Wallonia-Vlaanderen, two projects are under construction ("the Meuse and you", "Ardenne Tourisme GPS") or "the pearl necklace" with French colleagues which is aiming at promoting river tourism.
The www.tourismegps.be site is a innovating tool in Wallonia which will make all types of walkers happy.
It offers multiple possibilities of walks, classified by activity (on foot, by bicycle, or car...), by level of difficulty and by region. The whole is very user-friendly, with a great facility of use.
New downloadable walks will thus be regularly added. A synergy between the five Walloon Provinces and the bordering countries will make it possible to extend the site to a still larger audience and to discover the charms and the attractions of Wallonia, the country of the "Warmth of living"Enjoy your walk in Wallonia!
